Her specialty lies in molecular diagnostics for infectious diseases and molecular microbial typing methods. Her favorite part of the job? “The fast-paced and continually evolving nature of clinical virology. We are constantly learning new things about viruses and this creates a real challenge for the field of diagnostic virology, in which we are tasked with detecting and monitoring viruses that have significant impacts on human health.”
