The Power List 2016

Nicholas Paul West

Nick has been referred to as “an outstanding young GI pathologist,” with 44 papers to his name and a number of national and international prizes for his research and presentations. Even early in his career, he has already made what nominators consider a “major contribution to the quality of bowel cancer pathology and response to therapy; also a major contribution to academic teaching and training young medical students in research.”
Nick works in the Leeds Institute of Cancer and Pathology, part of the University of Leeds, United Kingdom, where he is Clinical Lecturer in Histopathology, Clinical Academic Fellow in Molecular and Digital Pathology, and Honorary Consultant in Gastrointestinal Pathology at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust.
