The Pathologist and RCPath Unite to Host Roundtable Event
International Pathology Day 2016 saw an expert panel tackle the pathology training needs of developing countries
On November 16, 2016 – International Pathology Day – The Pathologist and the Royal College of Pathologists (RCPath) gathered an international panel of experts to discuss how pathology education and training might be strengthened in low- and middle-income countries. The event, which was broadcast live, saw some powerful presentations and incredibly lively debate from the panel, live audience members and remote viewers.
The outcome? An understanding of some of the human resource challenges facing these countries; examples of strategies aimed at building capacity and capability; and best practice cases for delivering sustainable, high-quality pathology education and training.
