FFEI's patented Sierra colour management solution enables the accurate colour reproducibility of digital images, produced by WSI scanners. A slide that mimics histologically-stained tissue is used to measure the spectral accuracy of a scanner. An ICC profile is then generated to ensure the output matches the true colour of the tissue sample – meeting FDA colour reproducibility guidance. Through this colour management process pathologists, analysts and AI developers can be sure decisions are being made on ground-truth, standardised data.
