Facilitating collaboration and showing more detail than ever, 4K ultra-HD visualisation brings image brilliance to microscopy. Olympus’ UC90 camera delivers 4K imaging to pathology, allowing image presentation guaranteed to impress. Equipped with a 9 megapixel CCD, the UC90 takes images of the highest quality with different observation modes just a single click away.Designed to optimise resolution even further, exclusive OSIA noise reduction technology effectively cancels noise in low light or high zoom while also avoiding trailing artefacts. These innovations, combined with 19.5 fps image acquisition, make Olympus’ UC90 the choice of experts who need decisive details and the ability to see the bigger picture.
Saving time and facilitating analyses, the Olympus UC90 microscope camera maximises information captured from samples with ease and simplicity. Featuring a 1-inch 9 Mpx CCD, the UC90 combines 4K resolution with a large field of view, enabling pathologists to view structures in unprecedented detail and context from a single image.

Conference
You can experience 4K microscopy and the imaging quality of the UC90 at the annual meeting of the European Society of Pathology from 25 to 29 September in Cologne; visit Olympus at booth 22.
Summary
With a 9 megapixel CCD, 19.5 fps image acquisition and exclusive noise reduction technology, Olympus’ UC90 enables 4K imaging designed to impress. Combining world-leading optics with smart noise reduction technology, the UC90 guarantees value: see more, show more, save time.

Revealing more of samples than ever before, on-screen analysis enables easy evaluation of even the finest features to accelerate the workflow. The UC90 provides clean, noise-free images, thanks to Olympus Smart Image Averaging (OSIA). This technology effectively cancels noise in low light conditions or high zoom levels and avoids trailing artefacts during sample movement. Unlike active sensor cooling, which only becomes evident under low light conditions and long exposure times, OSIA benefits normal everyday working conditions.

Large, detailed images display true-to-life results, vastly improving sharing and discussions. In addition to accurate on-screen colours thanks to ICC colour profiling, viewing ‘the bigger picture’ reduces the need to verify observations on the oculars, bringing the many benefits of on-screen operation to pathology labs. The UC90 delivers the highest quality on-screen images thanks to the 4K UHD imaging mode, ensuring compatibility with 4K UHD monitors, large-screen TVs and projectors. Revealing more of biological samples, on-screen analysis enables easy evaluation of even the finest features to accelerate evaluation.
Save time
4K microscopy introduces a new level of confidence in your results. Confirming observations no longer requires multiple images or time-consuming checks via the oculars. Enhancing on-screen evaluation and presentations, the UC90 fast live mode works under all exposure conditions, highlighting details missed via the oculars thanks to 4K UHD resolution. Sharp images are also quick and easy to capture, with focus peaking highlighting all focused areas in the live image. Merging quality with convenience, the UC90 makes it easier than ever to acquire accurate and detailed images, with its 4K UHD capabilities providing pathologists with a step into the digital future.
