Controversial opinion? The field of pathology is not straight forward. Pathologist’s opinions can occasionally differ and so can the final interpretation, but this is also a positive situation. Pathologists can work together and ask for opinions – opening up new ideas, producing better patient care, and furthering research opportunities.

Intro to pathology? Pathology is the only field where you need to know everything, or at least where to find the answer to everything. That challenge drew me in and keeps me busy each day.

Professional ambitions? Over the next few years, I’ll be educating myself in the area of administration where I strive to be in my career. I’m constantly wanting to do different jobs and learn new things, however, teaching will always be in the mix. Watching health-related professions students, medical students, and residents grow and become confident is the best part of the job!
