Controversial opinion? I wish we didn’t hire people to work in the lab who are not licensed in the field. We are hurting ourselves with this practice. It’s hard to ask for respect for our knowledge base when we let this happen.

Intro to pathology? My love for science and the miracle of the human body. Studying biology years ago in high school I had an absolute passion to learn about the cells and all body systems.

Professional ambitions? I am nearing the end of my career as I am already 41 years in the clinical laboratory. I am worried for those I will leave behind in Blood Bank, as there do not seem to be many available to replace a blood banker.
