About Xiaoyin "Sara" Jiang

Sara is Associate Professor of Pathology at Duke Health and has a strong presence on the regular pathology meeting circuit and notable leadership in PathPod and on social media. She is excited to see AI and deep learning become more integrated into daily pathology practice. If she weren’t a pathologist, Sara would “combine all [her] extracurriculars and be a knitting, crafting, baking, podcasting, travel, and food writer!” Her advice to the incoming generation? “Don’t do things just because you feel like they are what you ‘ought to do’ – pursue the things that interest you and bring you joy.”
