About Kamran M. Mirza

The recipient of several national teaching awards, Kamran is Associate Professor and Vice-Chair of Education, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. He is also co-founder of educational platform PathElective, the Digital Communications Fellowship in Pathology, HemeReports.com, and the PathPod podcast. His interest in pathology stemmed from watching a loved one pass away from cancer complications. He says, “I found myself curious about this ‘monster’ that grew within a person I loved so much.” Now, Kamran is a fierce advocate for trainees and has brought pathology to the forefront of medical education.
