About Phillip McKee

Phillip is a retired dermatopathologist with an interest in melanoma. He has authored many textbooks on the pathology of skin disease and is described by nominators as “a hero in his field.” Phillip set up a Facebook group in 2017 called McKee Derm, which proved a great success and now has over 15,000 members. The group’s aim is to help residents and fellows with difficult dermatopathology cases by providing a space to share and discuss opinions. Phillip was awarded The American Society of Dermatopathology’s Founders’ Award in 2019 to recognize his outstanding contributions to the field.
