About Silvana Di Palma

Silvana is a Consultant, Lead Researcher, and Lead Educational Supervisor at the Royal Surrey County Hospital. She has long had an interest in cutting-edge research and innovation, but she also inspires her co-workers and instills passion into the next generation of doctors. Because she believes that molecular biology is the future of pathology, Silvana instigated a collaboration between two labs in her institution, which resulted in the first robust HER2 in situ hybridization test for breast cancer patients in the UK.
