About Manuel Sobrinho-Simões
Voted number one on The Pathologist’s 2015 Power List, Manuel never considered a career outside medicine. He has studied and worked around the world, zeroing in on thyroid and gastric cancers, and established the Institute of Molecular Pathology and Immunology of the University of Porto, which he still leads today. Manuel has held dozens of leadership positions and has been awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Prince Henry and the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit.
