About Ramya Masand
Ramya is an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine, where she works in pathology and immunity and in gynecologic oncology pathology. She was referred to as “an absolute go-to person for the gynecological oncologists and a wonderful teacher!”
After studying medicine in Mumbai, India, Ramya moved to the United States for residencies in Texas and Louisiana before taking up her current position. Now, she works as a practising physician while also continuing her research into gynecologic pathology. She’s also a member of numerous professional organizations, including the International Society of Gynecologic Pathology, CAP, USCAP, and local and state pathology societies. As one nominator concluded, “I hope to be like her someday.”
