About Lars Westblade

Lars is a young Clinical Director and Assistant Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. A nominator writes of his welcoming attitude toward those interested in the study of pathology, saying, “I am a postdoctoral research fellow very interested in transitioning to clinical microbiology. I approached Lars for mentorship and he gladly obliged.” He was also lauded for his excellence as a teacher, with a large number of doctors, residents and fellows attending each session of rounds in which Lars presents.
