Mauro is president of the European Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine and professor and chair of Clinical Biochemistry and Clinical Molecular Biology at the University of Milan Medical School. He also directs the Department of Laboratory Medicine and the Clinical Pathology Unit of the “Luigi Sacco” University Hospital and the Center for Metrological Traceability in Laboratory Medicine of the University of Milan.
