Expert Panel Tackle Training Needs in Developing Countries

On International Pathology Day 2016 in November, The Pathologist teamed up with the Royal College of Pathologists and an esteemed panel of experts to understand how we can strengthen pathology education and training in low- and middle-income countries. Drawing on their knowledge and experiences, there was a lively debate during which panellists and audience members explored ways to address some of the obstacles that exist and examined initiatives that are being (or need to be) established.

The outcome? A consensus about how the training and development of laboratory health workers and professionals in resource-limited settings can be improved, and importantly, sustained.
