HER2 mRNA Scores Correlate With Immunohistochemistry

  1. Antibody-drug conjugates targeting HER2 are increasing.

  2. The study evaluated HER2 mRNA scores from genomic assays.

  3. 1,524 patients with HER2-negative breast cancer data were analyzed.

  4. Median mRNA scores increase with higher IHC categories.

  5. 28 percent of cases showed discordance between IHC and mRNA scores.

  6. High nuclear grade and Ki-67 are predictors of discordance.

  7. HER2 mRNA scoring may enhance identification of HER2-low cases.
