A collection of menacing lab-related songs to add to your playlist this Halloween

What makes for a truly terrifying lab experience? The refrigerator that groans quietly in the corner? Maybe the lights flickered during an autopsy or doorways kept opening of their own accord. Everyone has a scary story to tell, but what really makes these tales come alive is a quality horror playlist!

Just in time for Halloween, we’ve created our own top 10 laboratory horror songs to add some ambience to your grossing sessions.

10. Spooky, Scary Skeletons – Andrew Gold
A classic Halloween tune that fits perfectly in the autopsy room.

9. Weird Science – Oingo Boingo
Not only is this song themed to the lab, but the album cover showcases a day of the dead party – a perfect spooky science piece!

8. Red Right Hand – Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
You may already know this song from “Scream” and “Peaky Blinders”, and I’m sure you’ll agree the sinister vibe perfectly fits this list.

7. Never Let Go of the Microscope – Enter Shikari
What horrors will occur if you let go of the microscope? An eerie tune worthy of a laboratory soundtrack.

6. Dissected by Righteousness – Pathology
A band called “pathology” with a song linked to dissection? Of course, we had to include this on the list!

5. Grossing the Goon Sea – Eric Serra
This may be from a film soundtrack, but this song certainly has a malevolent and atmospheric sound. Plus, another “grossing” pathology link – how could we not?

4. Permian: The Great Dying – The Ocean
Okay, this one might be a little on the nose, but the gothic ambience is immaculate and ties nicely in for a Halloween playlist.

3. Monster Mash – Bobby “Boris” Pickett
Another classic Halloween song taking place in a laboratory. So, of course, we had to put it somewhere within this list!

2. Disease – Hollywood Undead
Infectious disease and Halloween: a match made in pathology heaven!

1. Ridden with Disease – Autopsy
A heavier track with links to lab work, autopsy, and infectious disease – summing up a Halloween inspired pathology lab!
