Join us in recognizing people across the many worlds of pathology and laboratory medicine! Nominations for The Power List 2022 are now open – and it’s time to acknowledge the hard work, challenges, sacrifices, and victories of the past year.

In 2022, The Power List will honor finalists in five different categories:

  • Ready for Take-Off: early-career laboratory professionals
  • Ground Control: non-pathologist laboratory professionals
  • Voyage of Discovery: educators and mentors
  • First Contact: outreach and advocacy
  • Strange New Worlds: discoveries and innovations

You can nominate yourself, a colleague, a friend, or anyone you feel deserves it! An independent and anonymous panel of judges will then review the full list of nominees before deciding on the finalists for each category.

Nominations close on Monday 9 May – so make sure to get yours in early!

About the Author(s)

Michael Schubert

While obtaining degrees in biology from the University of Alberta and biochemistry from Penn State College of Medicine, I worked as a freelance science and medical writer. I was able to hone my skills in research, presentation and scientific writing by assembling grants and journal articles, speaking at international conferences, and consulting on topics ranging from medical education to comic book science. As much as I’ve enjoyed designing new bacteria and plausible superheroes, though, I’m more pleased than ever to be at Texere, using my writing and editing skills to create great content for a professional audience.
