About Claudia Angélica Peña Peña
Claudia was nominated for her work on prevention of cervical cancer and breast cancer, and her raising of awareness of these diseases. She works on early detection of cervical cancer with Laboratorio Pasteur de Colombia, and is a member of USCAP and the Sociedad Colombiana de Patologia.
She also provides technical assessment and quality control services in the Rey-Fals laboratory in Colombia, and acts as program director and scientific coordinator of training and conferences with the Secretaria de Salud del Atlantico (Ministry of Health of the Atlantic). Claudia speaks regularly on the subject of cancer, as well as about awareness and prevention programs, in her work on public health.
