Welcome to a new year – hopefully one more promising than the last! Already, techniques and technologies are rising to novel challenges, with everything from CRISPR-based diagnostic testing to micro-scale laboratories poised to assist in disease detection and management. It’s a promising start – and I, for one, am looking forward to what another year of advancements may bring.
